Synopsis:
Emma, a graduate student living alone in New York City, is watched by a stalker on all of her technological devices. Eventually, the video feeds are not enough and he goes from a virtual to a physical stalker.
My Thoughts:
Okay so I watched this movie today. It’s called Ratter and It stars Ashley Benson and Matt McGorry (from Orange is the new black) as leads. The supporting cast includes Michael William Freeman as “Alex”, who is Emma’s Ex and Rebecca Naomi Jones as “Nicole”, who is Emma’s best friend.
Ashley plays the role of Emma, who is a grad student and she just moved to New York. She lives alone in a one bedroom apartment. She meets Michael (Matt McGorry) in her Economics class and they soon become friends and then start dating.
The whole movie is shot from the view of Emma’s iphone, laptop, TV or any other electronic device. It was like watching “Paranormal Activity” except it was a real person instead of a ghost. If you’ve watched Paranormal Activity, then you’ll know what I’m talking about.
I would not suggest this movie because it was really boring. It was around 80 minutes long and out of those, 60 minutes were only Ashley Benson making food, eating, dancing, etc. The last 20 minutes is when the creep actually starts showing up at her house and TBH it really freaked me out.
Now the thing is, I wasn’t going to write a review for this movie but the ending really bothered me and I don’t know what to do. They never told us who the stalker was and trust me, I’ve tried googling it but no results. The last scene was really creepy and we were never told what he did to her. The police arrived at last but no one was there…..like WHAT??
What happened? Is there going to be a sequel? Who will tell us the whole story? I need answers

This reminds me of a Dean Koontz novel I read before, but the stalker isn’t an actual person, it’s a computer with artificial intelligence and it falls in love with its “owner” and becomes very possessive. Nice review though! I like Ashley Benson but I think I’ll stay clear of this one.

I was interested in this movie because I heard that Ashley Benson was starring in it, but then I read the synopsis and watched the trailer, and wasn’t really into it. I don’t think I’ll be watching it anytime soon. Awesome review!
